This module presents the polarization ellipse of a wave travelling in the +z direction (out of the screen), given the components of the electric field (the amplitudes and relative phase). Also given are the Rotation Angle, and the Ellipticity Angle, the two angles which, together, specify the polarization ellipse. The electric field vector as a function of time is also displayed, in order to demonstrate left-handed vs. right-handed cases.
